Field Trip Alert - Milford Heritage America 250 Revolutionary War Encampment!
Today, our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students stepped back in time at the Milford Heritage America 250 Revolutionary War Encampment!
Students visited the historic Sayre House and explored a Revolutionary War encampment including a blacksmith, farrier, and military camp. They also toured the cemetery, learned how fires were started, listened to a presentation on how the Native Americans played a role, and most exciting of all, watched a live cannon firing!
A special thank you to the Greater Milford Historical Association and everyone who made this event possible. Their knowledge and passion for their trades and areas of expertise really came through!
The encampment continues this Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to check it out this weekend!
