Milford Central School District will conduct teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) training for the 10th - 12th grade classes beginning on October 8, 2025. This is an evidence-based training that teaches teens in grades 9-12, or ages 14-18, how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in their friends and peers.
Our 7th - 9th grade students will be participating in the It's Real: Teens and Mental Health Program where they will learn how to take care of their mental health and review different ways they can reach out for support.
The training gives teens the skills they need to have supportive conversations with their friends and emphasizes the importance of getting help from a responsible and trusted adult.
